The Center aims to provide support to all levels of students and help our peers obtain not only deeper understanding in their academics, but also learn key study strategies for future success.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Mr. Nouristani
AP Physics C: Mechanics
Without having a community of learners, like the Center , who help each other, we will not be able to be successful as a society. People who have a love and passion for the subject, desire to help others, and the drive to actually work hard to master the subject are in the Center.

Mr. Arneja
AP Precalcus BC
It's nice to get the email from the students at the center about what they went over with my students. I generally go over what they learned and reinforce it in class. Center tutors take the lesson and extend it and add information which is beautiful to see.

Ms. Mejia
ESOL
As a language teacher, I sometimes struggle to give a lot of one-on-one attention with bigger classes. With the center's help, we have been able to give our ESOL students more of that one-on-one style. They always walk away from a session more confident than before.
About Us

Serving Oakton High School students for 10+ years...
The Center for Collaborative Learning was born of the Oakton Writing Lab. Tutors realized that their peers were needing more support in a variety of subjects and class levels. Hence, The Center for Collaborative Learning, "The Center," became a physical space that supports learning for all subjects and all students.
